For any company, an equitable culture is a thing you practice, not a thing that you are. We know that success comes from a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.
This year’s theme for International Women’s Day, is #EmbraceEquity, and our team has shared some thoughts below on what that means to them, and struck the "Embrace Equity" pose.
When we embrace equity, we embrace diversity, and we embrace inclusion. We want to create an organization with a culture where everyone can succeed.
– Ian Kelly, CEO
Let's break the tired old thought pattern of 'equity' as something that we have to dutifully uphold, and instead think about it as it really is (supported by extensive research): one of the most essential ingredients for modern organizations to be able to thrive and achieve long-lasting success. - Phoebe Jones, Director of Professional Development & Talent Acquisition
Leaders emerge, creativity thrives, and collaboration drives success when we embrace equity in all its forms. – Andrea Bielecki, Chief Innovation Officer
Equity is a choice, Inclusion is an action and belonging is an outcome. Supporting equity means that we are creating the platform to create dignity for all. –Joyce Thuss, Group Account Director
Equity to me means, Equity can not be achieved by treating everyone equally but treating everyone just based on their experiences and circumstances. – Alicja Sulewski, Corporate Services Coordinator
Embracing equity requires us to not just re-think roles and responsibilities, but to stop and listen to everyone involved. - Glendon Mellow, Sr Marketing Manager, Digital
